CrossFit Level 1 Trainer

My name is Vince Carter, owner and coach of CrossFit 209 Sport and Elevate Sports Program.  My fitness journey started as a young man growing up next to a community center, playing basketball, football and watching older adult’s workout in the community center gym.  The community center was more than just a sports complex, it was a family community building and it inspired me at an early age to want to get into fitness and helping others achieve their goals.  This is where I started my journey.

In high school I found love for track and field.  I guess you can call it a “runners high”.  I was team captain and MVP of my team my varsity year.  I qualified for sections 400, 800 and 4x400 relay team.  I held the school record in the 800 at 1:57.5 my senior year.  This led me to want more in life educationally and to pursue my running carrier.  Next stop was Junior college, power house track school, Mt. San Antonio College.    During this time I made All State in cross county, I ran 1:53 in the 800, 3:56 in the 1500 and 20:21 in the 4 mile.  I made team captain and most improved.  I ran one year sponsored by New Balance Cal Coast Track Club.   From there I went on seeking more fitness, that's when I ran into CrossFit and Sports specific training as well.

In 2009 I made CrossFit regionals.  I've been training athletes for over 10 years of levels from youth to professional level, specializing in all sports, strength and conditioning and speed and agility.  I've been CrossFit Level 1 certified for 8 years.  I am also certified in Olympic lifting, CrossFit Football and Mobility.  At this time I am married and have four sons.  I love fishing, music, giving back to the community, helping kids in our Team Elevate Porgram, spending time with my family of 4 and doing Gods will.
